 Alberta Ferretti

Maybe because I am an incurable romantic, but the Alberta Ferretti fashion show 

seemed like a masterpiece! Beads, ruffles and pastel colors that struck me to the heart and 

remind me of the goddesses grece, perfect and ethereal. 

The dress on the right is my absolute favorite of all the fashion week.

Sarà che io sono un'inguaribile romantica, ma la sfilata di Alberta Ferretti 

mi è sembrata un capolavoro! Perline, volants e colori pastello che mi hanno colpita 

al cuore e che mi ricordano le dee grece, perfette ed eteree. 

L'abito a destra è in assoluto il mio preferito di tutta la fashion week.

Another collection that I really enjoyed: dresses above the knee, but above all pastel colors 

and prints sharp contrast between military and floral prints, 

which I particularly enjoyed. Furthermore the setting of a fashion show, a tea room of the nineteenth century,

 it seemed particularly appropriate.

Un'altra collezione che ho apprezzato molto: abiti sopra il ginocchio, colori e stampe 

pastello ma  soprattutto forte contrasto tra stampe militari e floreali, 

che ho particolarmente apprezzato.

 Inoltre l'ambientazione della sfilata di moda, una sala da té ottocentesca, mi è parsa

 particolarmente adatta.

Dolce e Gabbana

Probably one of the most popular shows this fashion week: a true homage to the Sicilian

 land that has enchanted (and excited) all. The prints with carts or puppets that adorned 

the dresses were wonderful and super structured bustier (a classic) incredibly sexy. 

Another huge success for the best duo of Italian fashion.

Probabilmente una delle sfilate più apprezzate di questa fashion week: un vero omaggio 

alla terra siciliana che ha incantato (ed emozionato) tutti. Le stampe con i carretti o 

i pupi che ornavano gli abiti erano meravigliosi e i bustier super strutturati (ormai un classico) incredibilmente sexy. 

Un altro incredibile successo per il miglior duo della moda italiana.

[The Sicily's Diary: Day 4!]

And here, the diary of my last day in Sicily, spent among the beautiful streets of Acitrezza, Acireale and between the broad avenues of Catania. Acitrezza is a tiny village on the shore famous for its stacks, which according to legend, are those which Poliphemus thrown on to Ulysses, furious at having been tricked. Acireale and Catania are two other examples of Sicilian Baroque, which I appreciate. Catania is also perfect for shopping, saw her huge avenues of shops and, if you have opportunity let jump!;)

Ed ecco qui, il diario del mio ultimo giorno in Sicilia, trascorso tra le stupende viuzze di Acitrezza ed Acireale e tra i grandi viali di Catania. Acitrezza è un paesino minuscolo, sulla riva del mare famoso per i suoi faraglioni, che secondo la leggenda, sono quelli che Polifemo lanciò addosso ad Ulisse, furioso per essere stato ingannato. Acireale e Catania sono invece altri due esempi di barocco siciliano, che io apprezzo molto. Catania poi è perfetta per lo shopping, visto i suoi enormi viali e la quantità di negozi, se avete occasione fateci un salto!;)

[The Sicily's Diary: Day 3!]

The third day was perhaps the most intense in the morning we visited the museum BearsSyracuse, focusing on the period of Greek domination of Sicily. The museum is a treasure trove of artefacts, some in excellent condition including the Venus Anadiomene (see photo).Then we visited the old town of Siracusa and the castle Maniace (the time I did not havepermission to do 2 days before). The afternoon we went to the archaeological site ofNeapolis, where we saw the theater and the famous Ear of Dionysius, a cave in the rock by the acoustics amazing. Then we had to queue (2 hours!) to attend, always in the greek theater, the representation of the tragedy Philoctetes. I do not say that he ran when theyopened the gates to get the best seats (but I'm very proud of myself, I found a place right in front, perfect view!). The tragedy has been very "nice", though a bit long I have to admit,especially the idea of the choir. So a very busy day but, like all others, is quickly passed,including a photo and a laugh!

Il terzo giorno è stato forse il più intenso: la mattina abbiamo visitato il museo Orsi di Siracusa, concentrandoci sul periodo della dominazione greca in Sicilia. Il museo è una vera miniera di reperti, alcuni in ottimo stato di conservazione tra cui la Venere Anadiomene (vedete foto). Poi abbiamo visitato il centro storico di Siracusa e il castello Maniace (il tempo non ce l'aveva permesso di fare 2 giorni prima). Il pomeriggio invece siamo andati al sito archeologico Neapolis, dove abbiamo visto il teatro e il famoso orecchio di Dioniso, una cava nella roccia dall'acustica impressionante. Poi ci siamo dovuti mettere in coda (2 ore!!!) per assistere, sempre nel teatro greco, alla rappresentazione della tragedia il Filottete. Non vi dico che corse quando hanno aperto i cancelli per prendere i posti migliori (ma sono molto orgogliosa di me, ho trovato un posto giusto giusto davanti, visuale perfetta!). La tragedia è stata molto "bella", anche se un pò lunga devo ammettere, soprattutto per l'idea del coro. Insomma una giornata davvero intensa ma che, come tutte le altre, è passata in fretta, tra una foto e una risata!

[The Sicily's Diary: Day 2!]

Even our second day seemed destined to rain, but fortunately after a few drops in the morning the sun finally popped. The day was devoted to the visit of Ragusa, Modica (supply ofchocolate here: D) and Noto, which personally was my favorite city! Here admire baroque masterpieces, I enjoyed a strawberry slush ... the best ever! I recommend these verybaroque city, are wonderful!
Fortunately, the second day, I could leave the jeans and long shorts with jeans give me mybeloved T-shirt James Dean, ah how I love it! (Or perhaps, how I love him!)

Anche il nostro secondo giorno sembrava destinato alla pioggia ma, per fortuna dopo qualche goccia mattutina è finalmente spuntato il sole. La giornata è stata dedicata alla visita di Ragusa, Modica (scorta di cioccolato qui!:D) e Noto, che personalmente è stata la mia città preferita! Qui ammirando capolavori barocchi, mi sono goduta una granita alle fragoline... la migliore di sempre! Vi consiglio proprio queste città barocche, sono stupende!

Per fortuna, il secondo giorno, ho potuto abbandonare i jeans lunghi e concedermi i jeans corti con la mia amata t-shirt di James Dean, ah quanto la amo! ( o forse, quanto amo lui! )

[The Sicily's Diary: Day 1!]

Here are some photos of my first day in Sicily, more precisely in Syracuse. The weatherthat greeted us was not the best, even the rain and cold have plagued us all day (do not tell you the condition of my clothes to return to the hotel!). The first day we spent visiting the historic center of Syracuse with a visit to the ruins of the Temple of Apollo, the Cathedraland other monuments. For the first day I had a very comfortable outfit (see also the hours spent at the airport) in shades of pink and brown.
PS: Do not worry about my hair untidy, the rain has this effect on them! : S

Ecco alcune foto del mio primo giorno in Sicilia, più precisamente a Siracusa. Il tempo che ci ha accolti non è stato dei migliori, anzi la pioggia e il freddo ci hanno tormentati per tutto il giorno (non vi dico le condizioni dei miei vestiti al ritorno in hotel!). Il primo giorno l'abbiamo dedicato alla visita del centro storico di Siracusa con la visita ai resti del tempio di Apollo, al Duomo, e ad altri monumenti della città. Per il primo giorno avevo un outfit molto comodo (visto anche le ore passate in aeroporto) sui toni del rosa e del marrone.

PS: Non fate caso ai miei capelli disordinatissimi, la pioggia ha questo effetto su di loro! :S

[I'm ready for Sicily!]

Here's my suitcase for my four day schooltrip to Sicily. Say it's a bit too much for so few days? : DI'll be away until Thursday, good week readers!

Ecco la mia valigia per i miei quattro giorni di gita in Sicilia. Dite che sia un pò troppo per così pochi giorni? :D Sarò assente fino a giovedì, buona settimana lettrici e lettori!
